Who is The Book Lady?

My name is Pia Ledina, and I have been a school librarian for more than 10 years... but that's not how my story started.

I have served in many other positions before I was a school librarian.  After graduating with a B.S. in Communications from Cornell, I worked in major league baseball (Go Braves!), in human resources for a CNN, as a marketing manager and project development producer in advertising and website development... but after all of these amazing experiences, I knew it was time to do what I always wanted to do.  I went back to school and earned my Masters of Library Science and Teaching Certification in School Media.  Being a school librarian was my absolute favorite profession, because kids with questions are simply the best!

Now, I'm bringing my passion for kids, books, learning, love, and the connection that can be found within a strong community into this bookstore... 

I am, quite literally,Turning the Page!
