Celebration Subscription Saks are Here!

Just in time for the holidays, Turning the Page is thrilled to launch our first ever subscriptions, combining our expertise in curating &  selecting books for and with our customers with the joy of monthly #newbookjoy for book lovers of all ages!

Each subscription is perfect for gift-giving (at ANY time of year), and features one Turning The Page tote bag, a certificate describing the gift, a small journal to help the recipient keep track of all the amazing books s/he/they receive during the subscription, and 6 or 12 months of books, books, books... 

 Need a little more information?  

  • Babies & Toddlers will receive 1 new board book each month for 12 months; these books will be lovingly selected for the recipient to enjoy throughout the year as their library grows!  $149/year 
  • Pre-Schoolers & K-Kids will receive picture books and board books throughout the 12 month subscription, giving them the opportunity to build upon their love of story, learn more about their world, and enjoy the voices of those reading with and to them. $199/year

 

As you know, we are huge believers in reader choice (control over their own book selection)... so, recipients who are in 1st grade or older will have the opportunity to select "Reader Choice" (in which the recipient comes down to the bookshop and selects a book for themselves, with staff suggestions/assistance as appropriate) or "Expert Surprise" (in which we will surprise you with one of our favorite age-appropriate new books publishing that month). 

  • Novice Readers (Grades 1-3) will receive 12 books over the term of the 12-month subscription.  $199/year
  • Upper Elementary Readers (Grades 4-6) will receive a 12 books over the term of the 12-month subscription.  $199/year
  • Middle School Readers (Grades 6-8) have either a 6 or 12 month subscription available:
    • 6 month option: 6 books for 6 consecutive months. $99; 
    • 12 month option: 12 books over 12 months. $199/year
  • High School Readers (Grades 9-12) also have either a 6 or 12 month subscription available:
    • 6 month option: 6 books for 6 consecutive months. $119; 
    • 12 month option: 12 books over 12 months. $239/year.
  • Grown-Up Readers need subscriptions for books too, so we have set up two types, just for you:
    • 6 month option: 6 books for 6 consecutive months. $149; 
    • 12 month option: 12 books over 12 months. $299/year.


The best news is the Celebration Subscription Saks may be pre-ordered as holiday gifts!  Simply get your order in by December 20, and we will have your tote, certificate, and journal ready for pickup by December 23.  


THEN, once January 1, 2023 rolls around, your recipient can begin to enjoy his/her subscription for real!

  • If you opt for Expert Surprise, they will receive a brief survey over the holidays regarding preferences, and then they will receive an email before the 20th of each month to let them know their subscription book is ready for pickup.
  • If you opt for Reader Choice, they can visit the bookshop any time we are open prior to the 20th of the month - they should, of course, use their Turning The Page tote to carry their new treasure out of the bookshop, and record it in their journal.
